Day 4

We started out today from Bellapais near the Tree of Idleness,then we climbed up the hill through the village and beyond for over an hour, passing Lawrence Durell's house. We passed Buffavento Castle and skirted 5 Finger Mountain, went to see the fantastic view from Lovers' Leap and the ruines of Sourp Magar Monastery. There were some fantastic views, some lovely stretches of woodland, some scary goat tracks and some long hard uphill stretches but still a wonderful day and 15.5 miles closer to Cape Apostolos Andreas. We were 3 walkers down on yesterday as Don's wife went back to work, Zdenka had a medical problem and Margaret's blisters needed time to recover. I went out with 3 small blisters and came back with 2 small and one huge blister. However it did not stop me going down town 4 a meal tonight! Tomorrow we are walking to Gecitkale Pass which should be 24km.
